Location & Editorial Hire at Darling Glebe
A Venue Made for Its Close Up
If these walls could talk, they’d probably ask for a lighting check and a better angle on the foie gras.
Darling Glebe isn’t just for dining. She’s been cast in films, reality TV dramas, luxury brand shoots, fashion editorials, wedding spreads, streaming series and more — all thanks to her combination of vintage glamour, natural poise and that rare ability to look good from any angle.
We’ve hosted:
⚬ The Real Housewives of Sydney
⚬ A Netflix series or two
⚬ TVCs, music videos, student films and “it’s just a quick shoot” content days
⚬ Fashion campaigns, wedding shoots, product launches and short films
Sometimes they shoot. Sometimes they take over.
Either way, we know how to support the production without getting in the way of the frame.

Why They Keep Coming Back

Why They Keep Coming Back |
How We Host
Most shoots happen on Mondays or Tuesdays, when we’re closed for service.
Need the whole venue on a regular night? We’re listening. Just know you’ll be asking us to turn away people in heels, holding martini dreams. Bring your best offer (and maybe a peace offering too).
We price sensibly and clearly, based on what you need to use, how long you’re in and whether you’re bringing a full crew or just a camera and a killer idea.
Why They Keep Coming Back
Crews tell us it’s the easiest shoot location they’ve ever worked in.
They save time, cut setup friction and actually enjoy the process. (Imagine that.)
⚬ No tight hallways or tricky layouts
⚬ Natural light in the front room and controlled mood lighting everywhere else
⚬ Wide ramp access and glass doors right off Glebe Point Road
⚬ Sandstone walls and velvet colonnades that shoot like they’ve already been graded
⚬ An open colonnade layout for easy camera movement and multiple setup options
⚬ The Adey Wine Cellar often doubles as a holding area or crew base
⚬ Sound and power ready for whatever gear you bring
⚬ Street parking nearby or council-permit options for dedicated bays
We provide:
⚬ Floorplans and empty-room photos
⚬ Advance access for scouting
⚬ Quiet rooms, clearances and coffee if needed
⚬ Flexibility on bump-in and bump-out
⚬ Crew access from upstairs or back-of-house
A note on the walls:
The sandstone at Darling Glebe was hand-chipped in the 1860s, shaped by convict hands with tools and time. To preserve its character, we ask that nothing be hung or attached.

The Chef Is Camera-Ready Too
Jeff Schroeter
Our chef-restaurateur, is no stranger to the lens.
He’s cooked on a French cooking series, morning television, appeared in guest spots and even stepped into frame for a few shoots at Darling Glebe when they needed a real pro.
He also used to be a carpenter, so when you need help hiding a cable or rigging a backdrop, he knows which way the gaffer tape should face.
